Mark Metals has one of the East Coast’s largest state-of-the-art blasting and painting facilities. It is specially designed to handle large equipment and components as well as smaller equipment and components.
Our EPA-compliant blasting and painting facility is 10,000 square feet and features 5-bays five-bay with storage space for up to six 40 ft. yard trailers. Each of the 5 bays is 25 ft. wide by 20 ft. high by 60 ft. long.
With our blasting expertise, we can restore surfaces to their original condition as well as clean and prepare them for painting and coating. Blasting involves propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure. It is a fast and economical process for smoothing a rough surface, roughening a smooth surface, shaping a surface, removing existing coatings, and cleaning off contaminants such as rust and scale. We use one or more forms of abrasive media, from aggressive to mild, depending on the substrate and finishing requirements.
Using our cross-draft, heated spray booth, we apply an extensive range of industrial coatings, including primer, enamel, epoxy, and high-temperature paints. We offer an extensive selection of painting and coating options with robust SSPC compliant quality inspections. Customers can specify the coating choice, and we can also help navigate them through the features and benefits of the various options. We offer coatings that provide different levels of protection against abrasion, corrosion, moisture, wear, etc. Coatings for insulation, noise reduction, flame resistance, color, cosmetic appearance, and more are available.
We have an SSPC trained and certified paint specialist on staff, and we inspect the blast profile and measure dry film thickness per SSPC methods and standards. Contact us any time to learn more about our impressive blasting and painting operations or request a quote.
